Kota Kinabalu: Umno has not taken any action against its five Sabah assemblymen who did not toe the party line and instead remained supportive to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor during an attempt to unseat him, according to Datuk Shahelmy Yahya, who was one of them.

He urged everyone to be calm and to wait for any decision that will be announced on their fate, Deasoka reported.

"Like what was said by the president (of Umno, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi), the disciplinary board will meet before the matter is brought to the supreme council," he was quoted as saying.

"So far, there has been no letter (of disciplinary action)."

The other four assemblymen were Datuk Jasnih Daya (Pantai Dalit), Datuk James Ratib (Sugut), Datuk Yusuf Yacob, (Sindumin) and Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari (Tempasuk).
