Oh wow, the saga of blame and politics continues in Malaysia!
RPK, the eternal critic and keyboard warrior, has emerged from the depths of self-exile in Manchester, to grace us with his latest musings on UMNO's role in Najib's grand heist known as 1MDB.
I just watched his latest YouTube video clip where RPK, like a jaded bard of Malaysian politics, sings a tale of woe for Najib, portraying him as a reluctant hero forced into the role of the "biggest crook, pirate, plunderer in Malaysian history" by none other than his own party, UMNO.
According to the gospel of RPK, 1MDB wasn't just a scheme to siphon billions from the nation's coffers; it was a desperate measure born out of necessity.
You see, during Mahathir's time, UMNO had already milked Malaysia dry through privatization, leaving poor Najib with nothing but crumbs to govern with.
Alas, the coffers were empty, the piggy bank shattered, and Najib had no choice but to create his own golden goose, 1MDB, to keep UMNO afloat.
It wasn't greed, oh no! It was survival, a necessary evil to save the party from collapse.
In RPK's eyes, Najib's hands were tied, his options limited. He was a victim of circumstance, a puppet dancing to UMNO's tune.
How noble of him to sacrifice his reputation for the greater good of his party!
But fear not, dear Malaysians, for RPK has a message of hope amidst the cynicism. He urges us to look past Najib's sins and see the bigger picture. After all, in politics, the end justifies the means, even if the means involve a hefty dose of corruption and abuse of power.
So, let us raise our glasses to Najib, the reluctant crook, the plunderer with a heart of gold, and to UMNO, the party that will do anything to stay in power, even if it means bankrupting a nation.
Cheers to Malaysian politics, where the only thing thicker than the corruption is the irony!
