
KOTA KINABALU: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is celebrating its 30th anniversary by achieving a significant milestone.
It has produced approximately 91,915 graduates, including 4,493 graduates who will receive their scrolls during the university's 26th convocation ceremony from Saturday to Tuesday.
UMS Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Kasim Mansur said this year’s graduating cohort comprises 119 doctorate recipients, 335 master’s degree recipients, 124 postgraduate diploma holders, 3,826 bachelor’s degree recipients, and 53 diploma graduates.
“This is evidence that the education provided by UMS is not only academically oriented but also fosters essential soft skills for daily life,” he said in his speech during the second session of the convocation ceremony.
