PUTRAJAYA, Sept 11 - The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has been urged to take firm action to stop the Israeli Zionist regime's brutality and its efforts to forcibly expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan strongly condemned the Israeli Zionist regime’s actions in the Gaza Strip, as well as the encroachment by illegal settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
"This systematic oppression and land dispossession constitute a clear violation of international law that must be rejected without compromise.
"The silence of certain segments of the international community is hypocrisy towards justice," he said in a statement today.
He said Malaysia remains steadfast in supporting the Palestinian people's struggle to remain in their homeland and calls for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
"May Allah SWT grant Palestine victory and true freedom," he said.
