“We’re ready to cooperate with D11 IPK Johor”

The post has garnered significant attention, drawing widespread discussion across social media platforms. Even the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development noticed it and has since spoken up about the situation.

Nancy Shukri addressed the incident, stating that such behaviour is unacceptable and should not be normalised. She also instructed officers from the Jabatan Pembangunan Kanak-Kanak (JPKK) to file a police report immediately.

“Sharing pictures or videos of a child without the parent’s permission is a violation of the child’s rights and privacy under the Child Act 2001 [Akta Kanak-Kanak 2001],” she added.

Netizens’ response

Some netizens took it upon themselves to dig deeper into the TikToker’s background, even sharing screenshots of his response after being called out by numerous people for his actions.

One netizen commented on one of the TikToker’s videos, asking how old he is to even have a crush on someone that young, pointing out that the netizen’s own daughter could be around the same age as the student in the video.

The TikToker responded with,

“You make a valid point, but I’ve been creating content on TikTok for years, and so far, the parents have been fine with it, unlike you. Maybe you’re just new to TikTok and don’t quite understand the difference between what is and isn’t content.”
