A viral video has been circulating on social media today, showing how a passenger of a Singapore-registered car shamelessly “chop-ed” a parking spot at a shopping mall in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
Worse, not only did the man use his body to “chop” parking for the red Toyota Prius, but he also blocked and argued with the driver of a vehicle that had been waiting patiently to park at the spot.
The incident took place at Bukit Indah Aeon Mall on 12 February
Shared by the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, the incident was recorded by the dash cam of the vehicle that was waiting for a white Toyota Alphard to leave a parking spot at the Bukit Indah Aeon Mall in Iskandar Puteri. Based on the caption, the incident happened at around 1pm yesterday (12 February).
As the owner of the dash cam footage was waiting, a red Toyota Prius could be seen driving past the Toyota Alphard and immediately stopping at the parking row after noticing that the latter was leaving the parking spot.
Afterwards, a man can be seen disembarking from the passenger side of the Toyota Prius and then standing in the parking spot just as the Toyota Alphard left.
Argued with the driver who was waiting to park there while he chop-ed parking
The man then stood there and blocked the vehicle that was waiting to park at the spot from entering into the parking spot.
Later, the man can then be seen arguing with the driver as the Toyota Prius reverses and parks in the spot.
The driver of the red car can also be seen making some gestures to the driver of the vehicle that was waiting to park.

Singaporeans call out the regrettable actions of the 2 men while in Malaysia
In the comments section, many netizens condemned the action of the man and the Toyota Prius driver, with many Singaporeans bemoaning how these two are giving the country a bad name.
One commenter joked that the incident is the latest in the series of “Carpark Wars”, while another said that because of the Singapore-registered car, all other Singaporean cars will “suffer” in Malaysia.
Besides that, one commenter urged Singaporeans to respect the local rules and culture while in Malaysia and another apologised on behalf of Singaporeans for the shameless act.
