The motivation behind Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior's confrontation with Real Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre has been revealed.

Vini Jr invited controversy after clashing with Aguirre towards the end of Real Madrid's 4-1 win on the weekend.

Movistar+'s cameras picked up Vinicius Jr's comments during the game, where he was constantly kicked by Mallorca's defenders.

Angering the Brazilian were the orders from Aguirre, with the winger telling teammate Nacho: "He said 'hit him', 'hit him'... the coach said that".

Vini Jr also said: "They don't let me play, foul, foul, foul..."

He then had a conversation with opponent Jaume Costa, who confessed: "Yeah, but that's all we can do..."

After the defeat, Aguirre told reporters: "You have to talk on the pitch, not here. What happens inside is there, I'm not one to complain, congratulations to Real Madrid for the 4-1."
