
SANDAKAN: Sabah Islamic Affairs Department (Jheains) Director Datuk Jumain Abdul Ghani said the hosting of the Fiqh Masjid Seminar is important in enhancing the development of mosques and suraus in Sandakan.
“The seminar has a dual purpose of knowledge sharing and promoting mosque engagement through dakwah activities,” he said when officiating the 2025 Sandakan District Mosque Fiqh Seminar at the Sandakan Industrial Training Institute’s (ILP Sandakan) Auditorium Hall on Tuesday.

The event, which marked its district-level debut, was jointly organised by Pertubuhan Pendidikan Al Ihya Sabah alongside strategic partners Jheains, ILP Sandakan and the Sandakan District Education Office.

The seminar featured educational sessions including lectures and a forum exploring the mosque’s role in community unity.
