LABUAN: The feat of hoisting the Labuan Flag undersea to mark 39th Federal Territories Day on Feb 1 received both bouquets and scorn.
President of Labuan Canoe Association Yunus Waidin praised the effort describing it as novel idea in displaying patriotism with a mixture of adventure.
“We are lucky that unlike the other two Federal Territories, namely Kuala Lumpur and Putra Jaya, Labuan is surrounded by sea to allow such an event in the FT Day programme.
