PENAMPANG: All top three Unduk Ngadau titles were swept by lasses from Kampung Dungkahang when 8 villages combined for the first time to celebrate the annual Kaamatan festivities.

Shannie Flonia Roimon 18, was crowned queen, while the runner-ups were Steffi Olga Aidi 24, and Abigail Ary Kuiming, 18, all bringing home trophies, crowns and cash. Other participants came from nearby villages of Penampang Proper, Kambau, Dambai, Tanaki, Nampasan, Dahab and Kionggu.

Meanwhile, in the open Sugandoi singing competition, Rosaliah Malius 30, from Nampasan was judged champion, while the runner-ups were Abigail Gabrielle Aik, 15, of Dungkahang and Christine Justin, 31, from Penampang Proper, sweeping aside all the male competitors.

Before the main events, traditional sports and traditional dish competitions were also held.
