An unemployed individual, Suhaidi Abdul Hamid, aged 45, has been charged in the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate's Court for the theft of RM22 from a mosque's donation box. The accused, who pleaded guilty during the court proceedings, now awaits sentencing.

The charges stem from an incident on June 27th at 9:15 PM when the accused allegedly stole money from the donation box of Masjid Pulau Sekati in Kuala Terengganu. The theft was brought to light thanks to the mosque's Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) recording, which captured the accused in the act of taking money from the donation box before making his getaway on a motorcycle.

Subsequently, on July 3rd, the accused was apprehended at a supermarket in Kuala Nerus.
