Last year on 01 June 2022, my hubby together with our travelling buddies and I visited Teluk Intan. This Perak town is known for the Leaning Tower which is the main attraction. But our main purpose was not only to visit the old water tower but to joined the Teluk Intan River Cruise. We booked the river cruise with Teluk Intan River Cruise - 白鸟归巢. After checking what was available, we decided to booked the evening for Bird watching & Sunset River Cruise. If you have not visited Teluk Intan before, you will be surprise to know that Perak River provides incredible activities that includes fishing, river cruises, bird watching and fireflies watching.
Ah Loon is very knowledgeable and passionate about conserving the biodiversity of Teluk Intan. He speaks with good knowledge of the places he taken us along the route. Most exciting was the Pulau Bangau or Bangau Island. It is a gazetted birds sanctuary for storks, egrets and herons. So if you are nature lover or bird watcher, this is a must visit place for you. Ah Loon took us to see different types of birds found there and pointed out to us while identifying each type of birds.
What awed us was when the sun started to disappear along the horizon, it was the most amazing sight ! We witnessed the most magnificent sunset. We were excited upon seeing thousands of birds returning to their respective sites while flying in their special formation. You have to see it to believe it!
Ah Loon made sure we had an unforgettable river cruise by taking the trouble to take beautiful memorable photos for us. At times, he would navigate the boat to the perfect angle to take those perfect shots that capture the spectacular sunset view. The hour plus river cruise we booked was an unforgettable and memorable trip for us.
