In a stunning display of irony, PAS Youth has accused the unity government of "playing politics," apparently missing the memo from the King's recent decree to stop political maneuvers.

Afnan Hamimi, the PAS Youth chief, seems to have taken a leaf out of Animal Farm, portraying the Madani government as the animals who have become indistinguishable from the humans.

In a fit of righteous indignation, Afnan demands an end to political actions against civil servants and cries foul over the firing of a high-ranking officer by the Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister.

He laments the unfair treatment of PN states, claiming they are being denied the joy of federal agency officials attending their meetings, a practice akin to Napoleon's pigs hogging the milk and apples.

Drawing parallels to Orwellian doublespeak, Afnan criticizes the Madani government for its handling of critical issues like Beras Madani, the falling ringgit, and rising cost of living.

He implores them to answer these concerns professionally, not as if they are performing on a political stage—a sentiment reminiscent of Squealer's persuasive speeches to the other animals.

Afnan's call for equality and fair treatment of opposition MPs is admirable, echoing the principles of fairness and justice that Boxer the horse believed in.

However, his assertion that the Madani government should continue until GE16, if all issues are resolved and promises fulfilled, rings hollow, as the very essence of politics is the pursuit of power and change.

In conclusion, Afnan's critique of the unity government is a cautionary tale straight out of Animal Farm, highlighting the dangers of political hypocrisy and manipulation.

As George Orwell famously wrote, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

The same could be said of politicians and their selective interpretation of playing politics in beautiful Malaysia.
