This transformation is broadly seen as a necessity for modern organizations to stay efficient and competitive. AI tools are reshaping the various functions for effective the administration." Prof Roselina added “In this context, UM-Wales would like to offer its flagship program, AI Certification Programs for senior officers and community of the Provincial Government of Basilan. An innovation that meets leadership needs. The certification competency will be awarded jointly by Institute for Data Innovation & Artificial Intelligence (IDEA-AI), an international organization based in Australia in collaboration with UM-Wales held in 1 to 5 days.”
In response to the question raised by Provincial Administrator Manny Muarip, specifically AI in Entrepreneurship Development Program for the Basilan Community, Prof Dr. Suria Baba, UN-Wales Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International) revealed, “This is a 3 days practical, community-focused program designed to empower aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in Basilan to harness the power of AI for innovation and local business growth. The participants will learn how AI tools can be applied to improve marketing, streamline daily operations, enhance customer experiences, and support data-driven decision-making in helping the existing, start-ups small and micro enterprises in Basilan thrive in the digital economy.” (suria@umwales.edu.my)
Provincial IT Officer Naim Hussin agreed that “For data entry and management, AI-powered solutions automatically extract information from documents, forms & emails, inputting data into systems with high accuracy & minimal human error. AI processes large volumes of data to generate detailed reports.”
Our deliberation on how AI transforms administrative tasks in the workplace involves a shift towards human-AI collaboration model, where AI acts as a powerful support tool rather than a replacement for human judgment. Success in this evolving landscape requires organization to invest in robust training.
