Kota Kinabalu: Recently appointed Vice Chancellor of University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF), Dr Rafiq Idris, said increased tertiary enrolment for strategic areas is essential for Sabah.
He said it is crucial to support the State’s development objective by having a population with better tertiary education attainment and the correct mix of knowledge and labour force skills that are diverse based on sectoral demands.
Dr Rafiq stressed that UCSF is making an effort to support the State’s development agenda in this respect by providing human resources that will help the Sabah labour force. He said despite being a role model boutique green institution, UCSF provides a variety of programmes at the diploma and degree levels.
