  • The outbreak has tragically resulted in the death of a university student and a year 13 pupil.
  • The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) reported that 11 other individuals have shown symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia.
  • Hundreds of people, many wearing face masks, lined up on Monday to receive medication as a preventative measure.
