Planning to use your UOB Visa Infinite card for airport lounge access this year? A few rule changes from 1 March 2026 may affect how you enter and who gets in.

UOB has revised the terms for its Visa Infinite Metal, Privilege Banking Visa Infinite, and Visa Infinite cards. The overall lounge structure remains in place, but there are adjustments to supplementary access under one card and updated verification requirements across all three. There are no reductions to lounge access benefits for principal cardholders.

Supplementary Lounge Access Ends For Visa Infinite Metal

From 1 March 2026, supplementary cardmembers under the UOB Visa Infinite Metal card will no longer receive complimentary airport lounge access once the current offer ends on 28 February 2026.

Principal cardholders under the Metal tier will continue to enjoy lounge access, including entry for one accompanying guest where applicable. However, supplementary cardholders will need to pay the prevailing lounge fee if they wish to enter.

For cardholders who added a supplementary Metal card mainly for travel perks, this changes the practical value of that arrangement.

Physical Card May Be Required At The Lounge

Across all three Visa Infinite variants, UOB has clarified that cardholders using the Airport Companion by DragonPass app may be required to present their physical credit card for verification.

The QR code in the DragonPass app remains mandatory. However, lounge operators may now request the physical card as part of their entry checks.

Travellers who usually rely only on digital wallets should plan to carry the physical card to avoid being denied entry.

Principal Lounge Benefits Remain The Same

For principal cardholders, the number of complimentary lounge visits remains unchanged.

UOB Visa Infinite and UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite continue to provide 12 complimentary lounge visits per calendar year to principal cardholders under the DragonPass programme.

UOB Visa Infinite Metal continues to allow lounge access for the principal cardholder and one guest, subject to programme terms.

There is no reduction in visit limits for principal cardholders. The updates mainly affect supplementary eligibility under the Metal card and clarify verification procedures.

What To Check Before Your Next Trip

Cardholders planning to use lounge access should ensure their DragonPass membership is properly registered and bring their physical credit card when travelling.

For Visa Infinite Metal supplementary cardholders, complimentary lounge access will no longer apply from March 2026. Frequent travellers may want to review whether the card structure still suits their usage.

The changes do not remove lounge benefits for principal users, but they do adjust how access works in practice. Checking the updated terms ahead of travel can help avoid unexpected charges or entry issues at the airport.
