[UPDATED] Highways to be made toll-free for two days before Chinese New Year

KUALA LUMPUR – Road users can enjoy toll-free highways nationwide on January 20 and 21, just before the Chinese New Year celebration.

The exemption was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after today’s cabinet meeting in Putrajaya.

“After that, please pay your toll (fees).”

He added that this applies to all vehicle classifications.

This will cost the government RM40 million for the two days.

Chinese New Year is on January 22 and 23. – The Vibes, January 18, 2023
