Kota Kinabalu: Former Putatan MP Datuk Dr. Marcus Mojigoh, in his capacity as Putatan UPKO chief expressed concerns that Upko may not be given the opportunity to contest in the Tg Aru, Tg Keramat, and Petagas constituencies in the upcoming state election.
“I don’t think they will give us any of these seats to contest. That is my prediction,” Marcus stated.
However, he added that Upko remains open to supporting any party – whether from the opposition or the government – that demonstrates goodwill towards the organization.

He further clarified, “I’m very straightforward. Those who ignore us and treat us like a mosquito party, and not like citizens of Putatan, will not receive our support.”
Marcus also highlighted Upko’s established presence in Putatan, affirming that their support will be directed towards those who respect and actively engage with the local community.
