Kota Kinabalu: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) Penampang Youth movement lambasted Warisan President Datuk Shafie Apdal and Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri President Datuk Henrynus Amin for criticising the decision of the 12 Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah Elected Representatives to withdraw their Originating Summons (OS) against both the Federal Government and the State Government.
Its Chief Billy Dominic challenged both Shafie and Henrynus to file their cases in court instead of criticising the PH elected representatives who have successfully gained the liberty to file afresh their OS if remaining issues are not fulfilled after the agreed timeline.
“Upko President Datuk Ewon Benedick certainly knows what he is doing. He pursued his case in court while at the same time pursuing the same demand in the Cabinet with positive results.
“He will not withdraw unless the decision by the Cabinet is convincing enough for him to withdraw. Afterall, he does not fully withdraw, but granted the liberty to file afresh,” said Billy in a statement.

“Shafie was in the Federal Cabinet from 2004 until 2015, but we never heard of him pursuing the fulfilment of Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) during those years. While in Umno, he mocked other Sabah leaders who were pursuing state rights.
“While Shafie was the Chief Minister, he once agreed to hand over management of Sabah Parks to the Federal Government as initially proposed by another Warisan leader serving the Federal Government at that time. What did this indicate? His decision then was objected by State PH Cabinet members.
“Likewise, Henrynus while serving as Member of Parliament never went to court to pursue issues relating to MA63, but badmouthing the present elected representatives who did.
“I take it positively that both Shafie and Henrynus are admiring what Ewon is doing now and what he has done so far. If they think that Ewon’s way is not convincing enough for the two of them, then they should prove that their way is better.
Everybody can talk through media platforms, just like them and me, but we want a solution and therefore a strong representative in the Cabinet,” said Billy.
