The application period for SPM 2025 leavers to enter public higher education institutions via UPUOnline has been extended to April 12

PUTRAJAYA: The application period for student intake for the 2026/2027 Academic Session for SPM leavers via UPUOnline has been extended to April 12.

The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) stated the extension was made following the official announcement of the SPM 2025 results date, set for March 31.

However, the closing date for applications for the First Phase for STPM or equivalent leavers remains March 23.

SPM leavers who have not yet applied can purchase an UPUOnline PIN number from Bank Simpanan Nasional for RM10.60.

The PIN can be bought at 387 BSN branches, 843 BSN ATMs, or via the myBSN internet banking facility.

“BSN will issue the UPUOnline PIN number along with a copy of the payment receipt,” the statement read.

A total of 363 study programmes are offered for SPM leavers, while 1,146 programmes are available for STPM or equivalent leavers.

These programmes are offered at Public Universities, Polytechnics, Community Colleges, and institutions under MARA’s Higher Education Division nationwide.

“All eligible candidates are invited to take the opportunity to further their studies through the UPUOnline system,” KPT said.

Candidates are also advised to complete their applications early and not wait until the last minute.

This is to avoid any system disruptions or traffic congestion.

Candidates must ensure their application is confirmed by pressing the “I Agree” button.

They should also print or download the application slip as proof of successful submission.
