Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud helped France go to the top of Group H in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Les Blues were already assured a place in the tournament, but they are now in pole position to progress at the top of the group.
They defeated Moldova 2-1 in a tightly contested game, with Giroud's penalty calming their nerves at the Stade de France.
Turkey had already drawn with Iceland, which took a lot of pressure off the French.
It appeared the news of Turkey's draw took the sting out of the French side, as they were lacklustre for much of the game.
