Kota Kinabalu: Getting urban youths from other states in Malaysia to interact with rural counterparts in Sabah was what Projek Anak Malaysia 2022 hoped to achieve recently.
Spending five days in rural Kota Marudu, the ninth series of the programme organised and hosted by Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu (RCKK) saw the participation of 40 youngsters who visited SK Temuno Teringai Darat; SK Tumunda Salimandut and SK Samparita.
RCKK Youth Director Joseph Selestine said it was valuable “as we were trying to connect the youth regardless of their status, tying to understand their needs and other things”.
By Charisma Movement making a visit to our rural students, it is in a way to motivate the rural youngsters that their life is precious and they have long way to go to improve themselves, hence uplifting their respective families’ livelihood and improve the community in general in the years to come,” said Selestine.
