FINANCE Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said matters that directly affect the safety and wellbeing of the public such as road maintenance and upgrading and water supply must be handled with urgency and not be taken lightly or put through unnecessary delays.
“I suggest that the departments and agencies responsible for maintenance and repairs of any public facilities and infrastructure such as roads and water take a page off the private sector’s book when it comes to carrying out their responsibilities,” he said.
Masidi said this during a discussion with Deputy Chief Minister III cum Works Minister Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya at Masidi’s office in Menara Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu.
During the meeting, Masidi and Shahelmey discussed several issues, including matters related to road maintenance and upgrading and water supply, among others.
