• Saudi Arabia joined US strikes against Iran-backed groups in Iraq on Wednesday, which resulted in the deaths of at least 20 soldiers.
• The strikes occurred after the US military successfully intercepted multiple ballistic missiles launched by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in an attempted surprise attack on US forces.
• US Central Command confirmed that all Iranian missiles were intercepted following US President Donald Trump's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
• Saudi Arabian Armed Forces also aided the US military in intercepting over 30 drone attacks by Iran-aligned terrorists in the 72 hours prior.
• These escalations took place as Oman proposed a new regional deal aimed at resolving the conflict over the critical Strait of Hormuz.
