PETALING JAYA: The US embassy in Kuala Lumpur will be closing its main entrance to pedestrians from noon in view of a planned demonstration taking place today.

In a statement released on its website, the embassy said protesters are expected to gather at the Tabung Haji building on Jalan Tun Razak before marching to the embassy.

The embassy said it has “preemptively decided to close its main entrance” and will reopen it after the demonstration has concluded.

It also advised US citizens in the vicinity to exercise caution.
