A group of law enforcement officials were injured after a wooden deck collapsed underneath them whilst they were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on a child predator in Missouri.
Bodycam footage shows the four deputy US Marshals and five Randolph County Sheriff’s deputies falling to the ground as the decking outside Jacob Alexander Munoz’s house gave way.
Five deputies were hospitalized with a mix of broken bones, torn muscles and concussions, though all nine who fell avoided any grave injuries.
Munoz, a 26-year-old convicted for child pornography possession, had stopped reporting to his parole officer after he failed to register his address.
The incident occurred during Operation Adam’s Watch, a multi-week enforcement operation carried out to mark the 20th anniversary of the Adam Walsh Act. The act, signed into law in 2006, was named for a Florida boy who went missing in 1981 and was later found murdered.
