- One soldier, who could not swim, fell into the ocean, prompting a colleague to leap in to save them, but both were swept away by a wave.
- An extensive search operation is underway involving multiple aircraft, drones, divers, and ships from both U.S. and Moroccan forces along the southwestern coastline.
