- A Pennsylvania woman, Lisa Miller, 60, has been arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child after an 8-year-old girl was found in critical condition, suffering a seizure in a car.
- The girl was discovered unresponsive and on life support after allegedly drinking bleach, with investigators finding her wearing multiple seatbelts and covered in bruises, some seemingly covered with lotion.
- Miller allegedly fled from a West Virginia campsite after other campers contacted authorities about the girl's condition, and then failed to stop at two hospitals during the drive back to Pennsylvania.
- The girl's 15-year-old brother reportedly provided authorities with videos documenting alleged abuse and claimed his mother, Miller, had struck his sister.
- The brother also stated that Miller refused to take the girl to hospital, instead saying she planned to take her home to “lock her up”.
