SIPITANG: The Sabah Islamic Association (Usia) will support the State Government’s Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya policy, particularly in human capital development.

Its President Datuk Sapawi Haji Ahmad said USIA would use its Pusat Latihan Dakwah (PLD) at Kg Marasinsim, in Kota Marudu, to conduct certain programmes, particularly technical, vocational and education training (TVET).

Sapawi said Usia had already signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institut Kemahiran Islam Darul Ridzuan (Ikdar) to conduct certain training programmes at PLD.

He said the Pusat Latihan Dakwah at Marasinsim, also known as Pusat Latihan Dakwah Usia-Al-Bukhary, is expected to launch the TVET programme in collaboration with Ikdar once it’s fully completed early next year.
