SIPITANG: A customer here is unsatisfied by how a vendor separates the plastic bags when giving food at one of the markets here on Saturday.
The customer, who only wants to be identified as Rina, said even though the cakes were already packaged in a plastic container, using saliva to separate the plastic bags disgusted her.
“I bought two curry puffs costing RM2.50 each and the hawker was going for a plastic bag to keep the polystyrene ‘tapau’.
“I saw him wet his finger with his tongue before flipping through the plastic bags.

“Hawkers should be sensitive…this one should have wet his fingers using clean water from a container,” Rina said.
She hoped authorities would inspect and ensure all the hawkers use clean water for the purpose of separating the plastic bags.
