WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump announced that Uzbekistan Airways has signed a deal with Boeing for over $8 billion.
The agreement involves the airline’s plan to acquire up to 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Trump revealed the information in a post on his Truth Social platform.
He stated that he had spoken with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev earlier this month.
Boeing separately issued its own statement confirming the aircraft order on Monday. – Reuters
