In the run-up to International Yoga Day on June 21, the Vajra Corps has conducted a series of yoga-related activities across its area of responsibility, reaffirming its commitment to physical fitness, mental resilience and holistic well-being.
Yoga sessions have been organised across military stations, unit locations and community spaces, witnessing enthusiastic participation by soldiers, families, children, veterans and Veer Naris, in Jalandhar and Punjab.
Educational institutions, Army Public Schools and community organisations have also joined the initiative through yoga demonstrations, awareness campaigns and wellness activities, helping spread the message of healthy living among the younger generation.
The activities reflect the inclusive spirit of yoga and its relevance in promoting a healthy lifestyle across all age groups.
Recognising yoga as a timeless practice that enhances physical endurance, mental focus and emotional balance, troops of the Vajra Corps have integrated yoga into their daily wellness routines.
Special awareness programmes and guided sessions have also been conducted to encourage greater participation and foster a culture of preventive healthcare and well-being.
Adding a unique dimension to the celebrations, yoga sessions have been organised at various military and historical locations across Punjab, symbolically connecting the values of discipline, courage and inner strength with the rich legacy of sacrifice and valour.
Through these initiatives, the Vajra Corps continues to promote yoga as a way of life — one that strengthens individuals, fosters resilience and contributes to a healthier and more harmonious society.
As the nation prepares to celebrate International Yoga Day 2026, the events signify the Vajra Corps commitment to advancing the message of wellness, unity and collective well-being through the transformative power of yoga.
