Valencia captain Jose Luis Gaya admits defeat at home to Sevilla was "very bad".

The 2-0 defeat at the Mestalla leaves Valencia in the bottom three.

Gaya said: "Today is a very bad day for everyone, but starting tomorrow we have to pick ourselves up because there are nine games left and this club deserves for us to fight to the fullest in every game.

"We understand how they (the fans) feel.

"We cannot ask them for anything, as the coach said yesterday, because we are the ones who have to give things to them. In a match like today's, we couldn't afford to drop points -and they got away from us."
