Footage shows clashes between demonstrators and police near the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain, as thousands marched on Saturday (3 October) in nationwide housing protests.
Some protesters left the planned route and entered the City of Arts and Sciences complex, where the Valencia Real Estate Summit was being held. About 30 entered the complex before being removed. Police used batons, tear gas and rubber bullets.
Protesters can be heard chanting “Valencia es nuestra” (“Valencia is ours”) in the video.
Local media reported at least five people detained and nine officers injured.
