Valencia midfielder Hugo Duro is proud of his relationship with the home support.
Duro has been an ever present for VCF in a struggling season.
He said, "Every time Mestalla chants my name it is a joy, a source of pride, a recognition of all the work of a lifetime in football, in studies, at home, because everything goes a little bit hand in hand."
"Being a Valencia CF player is a source of pride. It's true that in Spanish football there are a lot of teams, but representing Valencia CF is a very big source of pride.
"Valencia CF have always been a very big club, for Spain, a standout, and to be able to be here playing, with the great fans, the great ground... it's all very nice and I hope to be here for many years to come."
