Henk van Stee is backing Feyenoord's interest in Arsenal assistant manager Albert Stuivenberg.

Stuivenberg is a candidate to succeed Arne Slot at Feyenoord as he departs for Liverpool.

Former Sparta Rotterdam and Zenit St Petersburg technical director Van Stee told FC Rijnmond: You have former Feyenoord players who have done great internationally, such as Albert Stuivenberg at Arsenal and Manchester United.

He really did a great job there. And he also did well in Belgium. Now he has been Arteta's assistant at Arsenal for many years and he has previously worked under Louis van Gaal."

Van Stee also mentioned a number of Stuivenberg's qualities.

I know from experience that his field training is great and in terms of coaching he has gained experience in Belgium."
