Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is not likely to feature for the rest of this season.
United had hoped they could get the Frenchman back before the FA Cup final against Manchester City in early June.
However, The Athletic states that Varane only has a slim chance of featuring in that game.
United will then be without both Varane and Lisandro Martinez, their first choice central defenders.
Martinez is out with an ankle injury and is not expected to return until pre-season.
The Red Devils are also in a tight race to try and qualify for next season's Champions League.
