Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson lead psychological thriller adapted from bestselling novel Verity
AMAZON MGM Studios’ Verity is set for release in Malaysia on Oct 1.
Adapted from Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, the psychological thriller follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who moves to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for renowned author Verity Crawford.
As Lowen begins going through Verity’s materials, she uncovers what appears to be a set of chilling autobiographical notes. The discovery pulls her into a disturbing web involving Verity’s husband Jeremy, forcing her to question what is real and what has been constructed through manipulation, attraction, obsession and opportunity.
The film is directed by Michael Showalter, with a screenplay by Nick Antosca. It stars Anne Hathaway as Verity Crawford, Dakota Johnson as Lowen Ashleigh and Josh Hartnett as Jeremy. The cast also includes Ismael Cruz Cordova and Brady Wagner.
The film is produced by Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Stacey Sher, Michael Showalter, Jordana Mollick, Anne Hathaway and Colleen Hoover, with Kerry Orent, Dakota Johnson and Lauren Levine serving as executive producers.
