Omar Da Fonseca has revealed how he helped St Etienne sign Javier Pastore.
Now with Roma, Pastore's beginnings in Europe could not have been worse.
Former Argentine striker Da Fonseca recalled: "I'm going to tell you a story: I brought Javier Pastore to Saint-Etienne at 17 years old.
"He was fired after three months because all his physical tests were catastrophic, then resold for a symbolic 1. This is noted in the balance sheet of the time.
"Palermo then recruited 8m and PSG for 42m. No other economic sector allows capital gains as crazy as football."
