Victoria Beckham’s company makes its first profit in 18 years

Victoria Beckham’s eponymous fashion and beauty label has struggled to turn a profit – until now.

The former Spice Girl debuted her first ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week in 2008, before expanding to include a beauty line in 2019, but three years later it was nearly £54 million in debt.

As reported by the Financial Times, accounts show Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd has recorded an operating profit for the first time in 18 years.

The brand reported an operating profit of £7.3 million in 2025, compared with a £1.6 million loss in the previous year.

This is in addition to the increase in total revenues of 15 per cent to £129.8 million in 2025, up from £112.7 million in 2024.

Speaking to the publication, Lady Beckham said: “We have all worked hard for a long time for this moment of profitability and growth.

“We’ve been very transparent about the problems that we had in the business but have recovered and are now growing at a sensible pace.

“After 20 years, people don’t look at my brand as a celebrity brand any more.”

Last year, the Netflix documentary Victoria Beckham followed her career from pop star to fashion designer, which was filmed as she also prepared to show at Paris Fashion Week.

But the series also highlighted the brand’s struggles.

“When I started this fashion business 18 years ago, I didn’t know a lot about the industry. I was scared. I was scared because I loved fashion and it was always my dream, but I knew what people thought – ‘She was a pop star. She’s married to a footballer. Who does she think she is?’,” she said in the series.

But after the business went “tens of millions into the red”, her husband Sir David Beckham bailed the business out.

He said in the documentary: “For her to have to come to me and say, ‘Can I have some… we need some more money, the business needs more money’ – that was hard for both of us because I didn’t have the money to keep doing this.”

Lady Beckham went on to say: “I almost lost everything and that was a dark, dark time. I used to cry before I went to work every day because I felt like a firefighter.”

She said of her husband helping finance the brand: “If he hadn’t believed in me, I wouldn’t still have a business now.”

In 2017, Lady Beckham secured a £30 million investment by selling 30% of the company to NEO Investment Partners, who then launched a restructure.

That included addressing what she previously called “mind-blowing waste”, such as spending around 70,000 US dollars (£52,000) a year on office plants.

Since launching, Lady Beckham has dressed celebrities including Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Winslet, while her former Spice Girl bandmate Mel C recently wore the label to her wedding ceremony in Sydney.

In 2011, Lady Beckham won designer brand of the year at the British Fashion Awards.

She was also made Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2017 New Year Honours and a Chevaliere de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres – a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters – in France in 2026 for services to the fashion industry.
