Striking visuals have emerged of mostly children trying to find escape routes by breaking into huts in a desperate bid to save their lives at actor-politician Vijay’s campaign rally in Tamil Nadu’s Karur. At least 39 people, including 10 children, died at the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief’s rally. In a video accessed by India Today TV, boys in white T-shirts wrapped in Vijay’s party flags are seen frantically ripping off handfuls of straw from a thatched hut and climbing onto the roof to escape.
