How far would you go to secure divine favour for yourself? For these two men, it would mean carrying two statues bearing the face of a Thai deity to a betting centre.

Having God on their side

The men first attracted public attention when they visited a betting centre in Puchong over the weekend.

Aside from their heavily tattooed arms, one of them was spotted carrying two statues bearing the face of a Thai deity while the other wore a Buddha headgear.

The duo were also seen visiting several betting centres in Puchong along with the statue of a Hindu god.

‘Thank God for the win’

One of the men later took to Facebook to share that he had won the grand prize and attributed his luck to the statues that he brought.

However, many netizens were skeptical of his claim and demanded that he show the lottery ticket to back it up, which the man did.

Unfortunately, it still wasn’t enough to convince netizens, who said that it was most likely photoshopped.

On the other hand, some were amused by his claim and joked about bringing their own deities the next time they bought lottery tickets.
