Marco Asensio has chosen Paris over Birmingham for his next destination.
Off contract from Real Madrid this month, Asensio has committed to PSG.
Ok Diario says Villa had tabled a superior pre-contract, but the midfielder chose Paris over Birmingham.
Asensio has long wanted to live in Paris - which gave PSG the advantage in the Bosman battle.
He was a personal target for Villa coach Unai Emery, but he couldn't overcome the pull of Paris for the player.
