Sevilla's transfer chief Monchi appears destined for a move to the Premier League.
Aston Villa had officials in Spain on Tuesday in a bid to get a deal done for the transfer guru.
Per The Mail, boss Unai Emery wants to work with Monchi at the Midlands club.
For his part, Monchi is ready to move, but he does have a 1.7 million release clause that Villa would have to activate.
Monchi has spent 21 years at Sevilla over the course of two spells at the Spanish club.
But he may believe the lure of the Premier League and its finances is too much to turn down.
