KENINGAU: The Fire and Rescue Department rescued villagers in Kampung Nasibon here following a flood early this morning.
Authorities received a distress call at 4.18am, reporting that floodwaters had inundated 10 houses.
A team of five firefighters from the district station was deployed and arrived at 4.40am.
Rescuers used a boat to evacuate 18 victims to safety, with ongoing operations.
The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APMM) also assisted in the rescue efforts.
