Villarreal coach Pacheta was pleased with their 1-0 Europa League win against Rennes.
Alexander Sorloth proved the matchwinner on the day.
Pacheta said, "Every match is difficult. They are a very young team who imposes a lot of pace on the game, but today we didn't let them play their game.
"They tend to look for space and we didn't let them do that. We did a great job defensively. They took a step forward in the second half, pressing more and not allowing us to organise ourselves, so we had to defend.
"We were conceding a lot of goals and now we've gone two games without conceding. It's a very good sign because in attack we have players with a lot of goals and we know that the goals for us are going to come. That's why we have to be firm in defence."
