Villarreal coach Quique Setien was full of pride after their 3-2 win at Real Madrid.
Setien says the result was a culmination of a lot of hard work since he took charge from Unai Emery earlier this season.
He stated, "When you prepare your plan, you always aspire for things to turn out the way you want. The important thing is to add the three points that bring us closer to the top places and to maintain the rhythm and the sensations, which are sometimes more important to me than the result.
Today we played a great match despite starting with inaccuracies. It took us a few minutes to get the game where we wanted, but already in the first half we generated a lot. We have managed to keep them from leaving their field, despite the fact that Madrid always generates chances for themselves.
We have come back twice and we have had to score even one more to get these three points. The satisfaction that I take with me is the smile of my players in the locker room."
