Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson is being linked with a move to Aston Villa.
The striker, who is wanted by several Premier League clubs, has a history with Villa boss Unai Emery from their time together at the Spanish club.
Per Sky Sports, Emery is a huge fan of Jackson and wants to bring him to the Premier League.
Last season, Jackson scored 16 goals in 36 matches in all competitions for the Yellow Submarines.
Villa will be hoping they can agree a modest fee for the attacker in January, rather than waiting for a bidding war to ensue in the summer.
Emery has been busy improving his squad as he looks to get the club up the table and challenging for European positions next season.
