Villarreal goalkeeper Gianni Cassaro has become the first player to extend their contract with the Mini Submarine after their historic promotion to Segunda.
The goalkeeper, from Lloret de Mar, who joined last summer after his time with Yeclano Deportivo, will continue to offer options for the B team in goal in the second tier of Spanish football next summer.
Gianni featured seven games for Villarreal B in the 2021/22 season, as the Mini Submarine were promoted from the third domestic tier.
He conceded seven goals in the 630 league minutes he played.
